These are really nice gray scale markers. The only reason I didn't rate them a 5 is that one of the lighter ones appears to be nearly dried up. I've not had this happen with this brand before, so likely just on the shelf too long at my local Michaels store. Who knows.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen - Black & Grey (#FC167171) is a great set of art pens/markers for sketching or a greyscale drawing. Haven't done traditional art in ages due to the convenience of digital art (hello ctrl+z!), but these made the switch to getting back to drawing on paper (on a small scale) easier than I expected. The various/adjustable nib size and grey colors helps (instead of just using one pen/pencil). Each stroke feels smooth and the ink didn't bleed through the paper in my old sketchbook. Unfortunately I have yet to discover a real life equivalent to ctrl+z (ha!), but that's okay. These art pens allow me live--well, improvise--with each mistake and be more aware of each stroke, which feels almost meditative.

I am amazed at how much better my drawling's are when I use these pens. they are smooth and feel very precision. they don't seem to bleed at all.I make a lot less mistakes since I started using these pens! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the Faber Castell Pitt Artist pens in black and grey and am very pleased with this set. These pens are great for drawing! I like the assortment of sizes in this set and having a variety between black and grey. And like that the pens are consistent when drawing with even flow. The size is perfect and easy to grip and handle. The quality is very nice and the tips have held up well with several uses. I would definitely recommend these pens and would purchase in the future.
