I really wanted to love these, but they just were not what I expected. Might be okay if you don't put much in stockings. The weight of the holders could be rectified with Command type strips or velcro strips, to help hold it to the mantle, but my bigger issue was with the appearance of the holders. They came via UPS, in a box, with bubble wrap around them, but the tops were exposed and had dust or dirt on them. They looked really dingy and not as sparkly as I was anticipating. More like cloudy plastic sequins or something. And the texture is more like painted concrete, not smooth. I am almost positive I received a used set. As only one letter had a tag still attached, there are chips, cracks, rust, and dirt all over them. The base is metal and the letter is ceramic or something and they painted them and dipped them in sequins. The base and the letter white is 2 totally different colors. The sequins fall off like crazy, I don't think even if you got them in good-new condition, that they would last beyond a year or two of use. For the price, that's just unacceptable, and definitely not the quality I would expect from Michael's & Glitzhome brands. Although I have noticed with the Christmas trees that Michael's almost doubles their "original price" and the manufacturer websites advertise an original price that's much lower, which means the "70% off sale" prices, aren't actually sales at all. They're still getting close to the full price and just making customers think they're getting a steal. But that's trees. Idk about decor, but I'm sure it's not far off. Anyway. I was happy with my trees, not so happy with these or the other stocking holders I ordered. Returning and will find a different display option for stockings. I was hoping to have these for a long time and love them but they really missed the mark. Hope this is helpful, and if you do order you get good ones that aren't used and destroyed, but my experience with this item was not okay. Zero stars if I could.

Had my eye on these stocking holders for awhile and decided to go for it! One of my letters arrived separated from the stand but I was easily able to glue it back together. The glitter does tend to fall off as well, which is expected. Overall I don’t regret this purchase and would recommend!
