I am a professional artist and illustrator.  I have purchased dozens of palettes during my career.  This Sta Wet palette blows them all away.  I work in acrylics and gouache.  This palette has kept my paints wet for a week, without saturation or dilution. I threw all of my other palettes out! My personal recommendation - BUY BUY BUY!

I don't know how I've lived without these for so long. As long as you keep the sponge wet the paints last forever! I think it's been 3 weeks and the paint is still as perfect as if I just squeezed it out of the tube. Only con is you really can't reuse the paper when it's wet. I bought a few of these and only use them with specific colors, i.e. I have one for blue/green, one for yellow, one for brown/black, red/purple etc. It comes with plenty of paper and you can buy packs if you need more.

It’s a great sealed stay wet palette with deep discount at Michael’s.  It’s rather small but good for Plein air painting.  I bought it for oil painting.

It works in that it keeps my acrylic paint from drying out while I am painting and for a few days.  Especially if I have finished a painting, but need to go back for a few spots that I missed, the paint that I mixed up is still there on the palette the next day, and not dried out.  I also like that this particular model is not too large, it's big enough for the 8"x8" or 8"x10" canvases that I use, so doesn't take up excessive space on my work table.

I live in tbe Arizona desert. I am a professional artist and use acrylic and watercolor on canvas. I struggled constantly with misting my acrylics as I painted to keep them drying out. And blending mediums formed a crust within half hour. I took a chance buying this for it wasn't cheap. But this has been the best investment. I don't waste paint by it drying up before I can use what I put on the pallette. I glaze layer after layer so having wet paint is essential in my process. I will be ordering another one because I do not want opaque whites near my transparent colors. Only downdize is size but the size makes it very portable and fits in my french easel.  This really works...I was gone for 2 weeks anx opened thd pallette and all tbdpaint was still wet including the medium.
