Just install this robbing screen at the main entrance (on your bottom board) and move the metal latches to control the entry points, so robber bees are deterred from entering.  An essential component for beekeeping.  Helps prevent drifter bees from coming in and spreading infection .  Protects against yellow jackets, too.  Close all the metal latches when you need to move and relocate your beehive. This will keep your bees inside the hive (when not relocating, keep entrances open or partially open to minimize robbing).  Provides more circulation and airflow than traditional entrance reducers.  Handcrafted by an Amish family who raises their own bees.  Fits our 8-frame bee hives and components.  Arrives fully assembled.  Made of unpainted Eastern White Pine. Install early in the morning or late in the evening when your honey bees are in the hive. Some folks use cords, screws, nails or tape to attach the screen (use what works best for you and your hive). FOR BEST CARE: We recommend any wooden hive component surface that is exposed to the elements to be protected with exterior primer and paint before use. Only prime and paint the outside, NEVER the inside where the bees live.
