The 400 Drawing series paper is a great all around paper. Aside from drawing, pencil mediums, it works well with light water based paints and markers. For the price, it's a great deal.

Love this drawing pad due to its size and perforated pages.  If I'm drawing something smaller than 18x24, I just cut the paper to size, and if I'm drawing larger than 18x24, I just cut additional pieces and tape them together.  Since I paint in the realistic style and paint a lot of detail, I use this paper to draw my subject and then transfer the drawing to my canvas by inserting graphite paper between the paper and the canvas. I then trace over the subject.

This is the only brand, Strathmore, that I buy. I needed a spiral pad that had great quality paper.  This one is a flip-top spiral that makes it easy to use. And it’s great for taking it with me when I travel, since it fits right in a backpack. Also, what is important to me is that it’s made in the USA.
