I was thrilled to find Strathmore’s Mixed Media in this smaller size. I enjoy watercolor painting, but, also, wanted a great quality paper that could hold up to pen and ink work. This little pad does both. Plus it’s perfect for traveling. And it’s made in the USA.

I teach watercolor classes and find that this paper is excellent when beginning to learn how to make and use textures in watercolor collage. It is affordable for beginners and experienced users as well.

I buy this paper regularly when I want to do pen and ink illustrations with watercolor on a smooth paper. That way the texture of the paper doesn’t show when I’m reproducing images, but it holds up to wet media well.

The Strathmore Mixed Media paper is absolutley the best mixed media paper I have found to date. 
  I use it professionally in my job as a freelance illustrator, and  it is tough, durable and holds together wether you are using traditional inks, acrylic inks, watercolors, liquid watercolors, regular markers, alcohol markers, Crayola markers and crayons, all manner and qualities of colored pencils, watercolor pencils, gouache, and acrylic paint like a champ.
 The biggest drawback I can think of is the quantity, which is 15 sheets, but they clearly state this on the cover, so you know exactly what you are getting.
