This is a sturdy, attractive frame that does not detract from the painting. I use the. Vintage gold frame from the Home Collection by Studio Decor for watercolor painting, specifically ones without strong color. However, the frame is versatile for framing all apintings.  I love it because of it's simplicity. I also love that I can often get a price discount with either my Michael's rewards or from the manufacturer running a two-for sale. I always buy two at a time. I hope Michaels will continue to supply this frame to artists!

Beautiful gold frame with sturdy hooks on back for hanging with a wire.  Very well built and sturdy. 
It was so sturdy that it actually fell from the hands while hanging it and it didn't break nor the glass shattered.  Very happy with this purchase!
The hooks on this frame were far superior to some others I've seen, they were built into the back of the frame itself instead of the cardboard backing.  I buy only those frames that have sturdy hooks on back for me to thread the steel wire through and hang using the wire.  I do not use the hooks themselves for hanging as they are not safe during earthquake, the frame can fall down and the glass can shatter causing injury.  Also do not buy frame with flimsy hooks on back.  So this frame fit the bill perfectly being safe secure and looks great!
