GAUGE: 16 sts + 24 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS); be sure to check your gauge.

PATTERN STITCH:

Seed St (Worked Over an Even Number of Sts)
- Row 1 (RS): *K1, p1; rep from * to end of row.
- Row 2: P the knit sts, and k the purl sts.
- Rep Row 2 for Seed st.

NOTES:

Blanket is worked in one piece, back and forth in rows, alternating Seed st and St st (k on RS, p on WS) with Seed st borders.
The yarn color is changed to make stripes.
A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of sts. Work back and forth in rows on the circular needle as if working with straight needles.
