INSTRUCTIONS:

Front/Back (Make 2)

Note: The front and back of the pillow each take a full ball of yarn.

With Wine Red, cast on 19 sts.

Row 1 (WS): P2, *k1, p1; rep from * to last st, p1.

Row 2 (RS): K3, *p1, k3; rep from * across.

Repeat Rows 1-2 until piece measures 17" (43 cm). For an accurate measurement lay piece flat and is spread to 17" (43 cm) wide.

Bind-off.

Edging "“ Work on Pillow Front Only

Note: When working edging, pick up and knit 1 st in each cast-on or bind-off stitch and 3 sts for every 4 rows along the sides.

With Taupe, cast-on 2 sts.

I-cord Edge: *Pick up and knit 1 st along edge of the pillow front, slide all sts 3 sts to opposite end of circular needle, k1, ssk; rep from * until you have worked around all 4 edges of the pillow front. Cut yarn leaving a long tail and sew remaining 2 sts to cast-on edge of edging.

Finishing: Weave in ends. Sew the Back to the Front, leaving the edging free. Before you close up the final side insert the pillow form. Weave in remaining ends.
