Use a crafting hot knife to cut off the top of the craft pumpkin.
TIP: Wear gloves to protect your hands from the hot knife. Also, cut slowly for the best control and precision.

To make the concrete look, mix sand with modeling paste. The more sand you mix the grittier the texture. Apply the texture to the pumpkin with a palette knife or paintbrush. Cover the top and entire pumpkin. Set aside to dry overnight.
TIP: Do not rinse the texture out of a brush in the sink due to the sand particles. Simply wipe off the texture the best you can, then rinse.

Apply a coat of paint over the texture and let dry.

Cut floral foam and place in the pumpkin. Use hot glue to keep it in place.

Take a dowel and push it into the top of the pumpkin part way and hot glue. Push the other end of the dowel into the floral foam so the top looks like it’s suspending.

Cut the stems off the bushes you choose to use to make the arrangement. Add mums, heather, berries and mini floral balls for a natural look. Push the stems into the floral foam and bend the stems to adjust the design of the arrangement. Use the image as a guide.
TIP: Take a photo to see the arrangement as a whole and make any adjustments needed.
