Paint the doll's head with liquid gilding, leaving the flat base unpainted. Let dry.

Wrap washi tape horizontally around the base of the box, starting at the bottom. Continue wrapping one tape above the other with coordinating colors.

Wrap the top-most tape over the edge and, to secure, wrap another tape inside the top rim, covering the edge of the folded tape.

Lay washi tape in strips across the flat edge of the lid, leaving a small lip to fold over the edge of the box. Continue laying tape across the lid.

Choose a tape that is wide enough to cover the entire rim of the lid with a little left over to fold around the bottom edge. Wrap this tape horizontally around the cover's rim over the washi tape that was folded over the edge.

Glue the doll's head to the center of the lid with hot glue.
