You're new to the skills necessary to complete this project, or maybe you've tried them just once or twice before.
Step 1
Cut a piece of deerskin lace that wraps once around your neck and then crosses over at the back and lies where you like it in the front. This will be slightly different for everyone, depending on taste.
Step 2
Make a 90° bend in the wire, about 2" from the end.
Step 3
String the bead onto the wire, leaving about 2" of wire on either side of the beads.
Step 4
Find the middle of the deerskin lace by folding it in half. At the halfway mark, wrap the 2" piece of wire around the lace three times. Trim excess wire.
Step 5
Make a 90° bend in the other side of the wire to secure bead onto the wire.
Step 6
Holding the beads in front of the deerskin lace, wrap the other tail of the wire around the deerskin lace three times. Trim end.
Step 7
Use chain nose pliers to tighten and tidy the loops of wire.
Step 8
To wear, wrap either around your wrist for a bracelet, wrap multiple times around your neck for a bolder choker, or wrap once around your neck and let the long ends of the laces hang in front in a loose knot.
