Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 1 dc in each of next 2 sts, * ch 1, skip 1, 1 dc in each of next 3 sts; repeat from * to last 3 sts, 2 dc, 1 dc in top of ch-3 of previous row. Row 3: Ch 4 (counts as 1 dc and 1 ch), skip 1, 1 dc in 3rd dc of previous row, 1 edc, 1 dc in the next st, * ch 1, skip 1, 1 dc, 1 edc, 1 dc; repeat from * to last 2 sts, ch1, skip 1, 1 dc in top of ch-3 of previous row – 16 dc, 7 edc, 8 ch-1 spaces. FINISHING Fringe Cut thirty-six 11" (28 cm) lengths of yarn. Hold 2 strands of yarn together; fold in half to form a loop at the top. Pull loop through the first ch 1 space, then pull ends of fringe through loop. Continue to add fringe in each ch-1 space across the edge for a total of 7 fringe bundles.
