Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not like it used to be I've been using Red Heart super saver yarn for years to make bright baby sweaters. Recently bought flame, glow worm, and turquoise colors online, and while all are fourply, they were 3 different thicknesses. Flame is very thick, glow worm is very thin, and 2 skeins of turquoise were different thicknesses. Couldn't use different colors in the same sweaters.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Seems pa the duo or tied along the way Made two combination solid and colorful thread blankets that started as baby blankets now almost queen size and every so often the thread was frayed/coming apart/in a knot or unraveled. Got it on sale so I had 4 5oz rolls. Will be more careful next time

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed - no longer Made in USA If you notice on the label Red Heart used to be made in the USA and over the years I have bought many types for my knitting projects. The latest skeins I looked at in store are now made in Turkey. The colour section is limited and the quality is poorer. I did not purchase this yarn in the end. I put it back on the shelf.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Colors and Durability There are fancier yarns, and there are softer, smoother yarns, but you will not find a more durable arcrylic yarn. Talk to anyone who works in a Fabric Store, and you find out Super Saver is legendary in terms of being virtually indestructible no matter how many times you put it through the washer and dryer. Being able to machine wash Super Saver projects without fear of color bleeding or shredding is just one benefit. Super Saver color choices are tremendous. Favorites are the "coffee" which is a perfect shade of dark brown, that I couldn't find with any other brand. Super Saver blues are better than anyone else's: The "royal" is a perfect medium blue, and I love "soft navy" for an even deeper blue. Hard to find good shades of green in other brands, but Super Saver's Hunter Green, is the perfect deep Holiday green that I love.
