ribbon-striped pumpkin

This spooky ribbon-striped pumpkin is even easier to DIY than you might think, thanks to the miracle of adhesive tape! Read below and we’ll give you tips and tricks to make your own pretty little piece of Halloween décor. Glitter spiders are optional (but highly encouraged)!
Step 1
Begin by measuring lengths of ribbon to fit into your pumpkin’s indentations. Make sure they’re long enough to run from the base of the stem at the pumpkin’s top to the flat surface underneath. Cut as many ribbons as you need to fill all the indentations.
Step 2

Add a strip of adhesive tape to the back of each ribbon piece. One strip at a time, remove the red backing from your tape, then run a ribbon down each indentation on the pumpkin. Alternate the ribbon styles or create your own pattern.

TIP: The adhesive tape is double-sided, so it is a great choice for adding ribbon!

Step 3
Next, fasten a piece of ribbon around the pumpkin’s stem.
Step 4
Almost done! All that’s left to do is to hot glue a glitter spider or two (or three!) to the top of your pumpkin.
