ribbon wreath and lanterns
Step 1 |
First, add bows to your lanterns. Take a length of ribbon and tie it into a large, shoestring-style bow. Make the bows in the center, with long tails on each side. Next, twist a chenille pipe cleaner around the center of each bow, then use that chenille pipe cleaner to attach the bow to the top of the lantern. Repeat this step to add a bow to your second lantern, too, and place both on your mantel. TIP: Remember to fluff your bows and trim their tails for a pretty, finished look! |
Step 2 |
Now it’s time to decorate the wreath. Working with the red ribbon while it’s still on its spool, wire its starting end to the wreath. Grasp the ribbon about 5"- 6" down its length, loop it over a wreath section and wire it to the wreath. Continue looping and wiring the red ribbon throughout the wreath. |
Step 3 |
Next, add berry and pine cone picks to the wreath. Use a dab of hot glue to fasten each one securely in place. |
Step 4 |
Finish the wreath with a larger, multi-loop bow. To make this bow, work with the ribbon while it’s on its spool. Start by measuring out a tail that’s about 9" long, then follow these steps:
