Quick to use
It might not be the best, but for small jobs it works just fine. Learning to use the awl is simple enough, but if you want the stitching to look professional you might want to learn using scrap material first. I was working on sheepskin so I wasn't concerned with how the stitching appeared as the hair hides the stitching.

Perfect awl for all purposes.
Buy this awl. Two different needles and thread included so you don’t need to buy anything extra. Thread coil easily replaceable with other thread, even dental floss for more durable needs.

It’s simple, it works, but it feels very cheap
It will get the job done, I haven’t used any other stitching awls but this tool still feels like it’s a cheap knockoff. The instructions are terrible, but it’s so simple it practically doesn’t need any.
