Strathmore® 300 Series Bristol Smooth Pad is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cardmakers perfect paper Distress and other inks blend seamlessly on this super smooth white paper. Use for stamping too. I cut into card fronts and add to bases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great paper for card making Love the smooth texture. Pencils and markers take well to Bristol. The heavier weight helps create a sturdy base. Will purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best paper for details Bristol Smooth paper surpasses any other paper for smooth detailed drawing. Colored pencil floats over the surface for exceptional blendability. The only paper I use for illustration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable Product I have been using this exact size of Bristol paper for years. Michael's is the only place that has it around me, so I always get it there. It's great for my favorite mediums-- Copic markers, Prismacolor colored pencils, and illustrator pens, which I also have bought from Michael's for years, as they tend to have sales on those items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Copics I love how this works for copic coloring. I use it for card bases as well. Nice, heavy, smooth paper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good paper for coloring This paper is used by most of the "pros" on You Tube who post card making tutorials. It is a slightly off white color, so white cardstock is not a perfect match.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best paper i have used so far I love working in color pencils and graphite and always had problems finding a paper that was smooth enough as well as durable enough and this paper is both. Color pencils go on smoothly without having to use a lot of pressure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great choice for illustrators I use this paper for inking pencils. It's a great, heavyweight paper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is good for blending copic markers. Nice sketch pad for drawing illustrations. Nice size for coloring.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth but not crisp white This Bristol works great with my Zig Clean Color markers. Nice thickness too. My only wish is that it would be more white. Right now it's neither white nor ivory. But other than that really good and there are ways of getting around the color. It all depends what you will be using it for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great paper for combo artist needs Bristol Smooth Pad is perfect for combining water colors and brush lettering because it is thick enough to hold the water color, but not too textured to where it frays markers. I recommend to all!
Date published: 2017-03-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for drawing with Copics I bought this paper to use specifically with copic markers. The bright white really allows the vibrant colors to shine. This paper absorbs the ink well and allows the color to layer with each application. I would highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This paper quality brings out the best in art Whether using charcoal, ink, markers or graphite, this exceptional quality of paper never disappoints. I have used it for a long time and nothing else compares for me. As an artist, I only use the best and this is the finest I've used

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use This paper has a smooth finish, has a nice weight, and is a bright white. It works well for stamping and coloring. (I'm sure for many other things as well but this is what I have used it for.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Andrea Love this paper for art journaling and it was on sale

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More versatile usage for the artist I purchased the Bristol board to use for a class in pen and ink at a local gallery. I had learned that this paper could also handle watercolor or felt pen with little to no bleeding. Also the smooth surface was the best for ink drawing as it didn't ruin the pen's nib/tip and thus allowed for the smoother line. With the watercolor you can still do various techniques such as, wet on wet, salt, and alcohol and still get nice effects. I would recommend this paper to those who love to use multimedia, and even more so to the zen doodler as the doodle would take all coloring media including paints. When the product is on sale it is a great value. Only flaws are the pages are hard to tear out and trimming reduces size and it does not come in a spiral book form which would be fantastic for the doodler or illustrator. Though they do have tablets for the comic/anime artist it would be nice to get the pages out cleaner. I alway need to use a knife to cut from the glue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bristol board paper is a wonderful general use art paper. I've used it for drawing with ink and for watercolor paint. It's durable and very inexpensive for a quality paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This paper is excellent for most markers! This paper is excellent for most marker drawing/paintings, however I find that Prisma, Sharpie, and Bic are the best markers for any paper, whereas some markers such as Marvy Uchida tend to tear at the top layer in all the many different papers that I've tried, and that is a LOT of paper! Although Marvy Uchida has some very excellent colors, the ink tends to be a little wet, which might be preferably used for stamping. I'm sure that the extra wetness is what causes it to tear the paper that I have used. I have also tried the Sakura Micron markers and they seem to tear the paper a little, as well. The Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Smooth Pad is very close to being like poster board paper and your markers should glide across it smoothly and the colors will look beautiful. Out of all the different paper that I have used, the Strathmore is the best for my marker drawing.
