Well built, Antique Open Back already sized and made FRAMES are great looking on religious paintings. I am using the frame in an upcoming art exhibit, of original religious scenes. Much less expensive than ordering a similar style.

Perfect frame!
This frame is very heavy and ornate. It is just what I wanted for my new painting. It fit perfectly. Don’t forget to also buy some clips to hold the painting inside the frame.

Sooo stylish and with a vintage classic look and feel. Only thing, I wish it had a glass front, as it is also backless. I purchased for 18,24" poster, which would not really sit the frame alone due to the size of the frame and poster. sSo, solution! I purchased a small black lined thin poster frame (plastic with translucent plastic front) which fit into the vintage frame very nicely to display the poster, which I intend to give to my husband as a Christmas gift this year.

Traditional "Masterpiece" Fram
This is the kind of frame you would see a real van Gogh framed with. It's fairly ornate and looks like metal. This is for canvas paintings, not watercolor or paper paintings as there's no glass, but it works perfect for canvas oil or acrylic paintings. Love it!

Make sure to read the fine print
I love the look of this frame. It was heavy and durable (although a corner did come with a chip). With that said, I didn't realize that I was buying a "backless" frame. I completely missed that detail! It literally had no glass, and no board to keep the glass in with. I had to go to Lowe's for all of the additional pieces. Which, you don't realize is a lot of things until you don't have them! So glass, cardboard/poster board, clips to keep them together, and wire for hanging. There was just a lot missing from this frame. Thankfully I had a coupon and it didn't cost me the almost $90 asking price. What was even more annoying, when I called the 800# to inquire about the missing items, the gal on the other end didn't have anymore information than I did and needed to forward my question off to the "product" department. I should expect a reply within 5-7 business days. ANNOYING! Needless to say, I didn't want to wait another week to put my print together so I figured it out on my own. The moral of my story: read the fine print! If you have a canvas you are looking to hang, this would be perfect. A print, requires 4-5 additional pieces that don't come with the frame!
