summer floral wreath

Give your door a fresh look for summer with this fairy-like floral wreath! We’ll show you how to wrap it with boxwood garlands, then add colorful flowers, like ranunculus and poppy blossoms. Want to turn your door décor into a gorgeous floral chandelier? We’ll show you that, too – just read below!
Step 1
Start by placing your wire wreath frame flat on your working surface. Lay one boxwood garland on top, so that it follows the curve of the frame and covers the entire circle. Arrange the garland’s individual pieces, tucking them into the frame here and there to hold it in place. Tuck both of the garland’s ends into the wire frame, too.
Step 2
Now, lay the second boxwood garland around the wire wreath frame, tucking it in and around the first garland so that your wreath looks nice and full. Don’t forget to tuck in these ends, too!
Step 3
Use a floral cutter to snip the stems of your mixed poppies from their bush. Bend them slightly to give them a natural feel.
Step 4
Tuck your poppy stems into the boxwood all the way around the wreath. Once you like the way your wreath looks, hot glue each one into place.

TIP: As you place your poppies, arrange some stems to hang over the wreath’s edge, and others to stand up, away from the garland. This will help give a realistic, organic feel to your wreath.
Step 5
Next, trim the flowers and leaves from your ranunculus bush, leaving a 1" stem on each one
Step 6
One at a time, add a little hot glue to the back of the ranunculus blooms, then glue them around the boxwood.

TIP: Want to turn your wreath into a floral chandelier? It’s easy! Just make a hanger by tying three 6’ strands of jute to the wreath frame, spacing them evenly around the circle. Pull the three strands to the middle, checking to make sure that the wreath hangs parallel to the floor underneath. Tie the three strands together in an overhand knot and use the excess jute above to hang your chandelier. Since it’ll be hanging above eye level, don’t forget that the decorated side of the wreath should be facing downward!
