super dad! plastic button project
Give your favorite super hero a gift he'll never forget this Father's Day with an adorable "Super Dad!" plastic button. He can show off how super he is all day long.
Step 1 |
Open the plastic button and remove the blue insert. Discard. |
Step 2 |
Trace the edges of the plastic button onto a piece of construction paper and cut out circle to create the head. |
Step 3 |
Draw the facial features and hair onto the front of the circle. |
Step 4 |
Trace cape pattern onto construction paper and cut out. |
Step 5 |
Draw lines onto the cape and outline the edges with a black marker. |
Step 6 |
Trace mask onto construction paper and cut out. |
Step 7 |
Trace the outside edges of the mask with a black marker. |
Step 8 |
Trace the word bubble shapes onto construction paper and cut out. |
Step 9 |
Trace the outside edges with a red marker and write "Super" in one bubble and "Dad!" in the other with black marker. |
Step 10 |
Place the face inside the button and re-attach the back. |
Step 11 |
Glue the cape to the back side of the button so that the lines are facing the front. Let dry. |
Step 12 |
Glue the word bubbles to the front of the cape. Let dry. |
Step 13 |
Glue the mask to the front of the plastic button so that it lines up with the eyes on the face. Let dry. |
