tissue paper art

Create a beautiful work of art using watercolors and tissue paper.
Step 1
Choose tissue paper colors and cut (or tear) out random shapes.
Step 2
Lightly brush water onto a sheet of watercolor paper. Lay the tissue paper shapes onto the wet watercolor paper. The wet paper will help hold the tissue paper into place and keep it from moving around.
Step 3
When you have your entire paper covered, brush more water over the tissue paper. You do not need to use a lot of water. Notice how the brushed water from Step 2 will start bleeding the color from the tissue onto the paper.

Tip: Do not over saturate watercolor paper.
Step 4
Let the paper dry, then cut it down to fit onto a piece of black cardstock with a small border if desired. Adhere it to the cardstock using a glue stick.
