twinkle star transparent blue slime

Summer is the perfect time of year to mix up cool, blue slimes full of glittery, silvery fun – like this one! Because it’s made with Elmer’s® blue transparent glue, all the color you need is already there. Just make a batch, then add your mix-ins – it’s super easy!
Step 1
Project Notes:
   -  You can mix and match any type of Elmer’s® glue for this recipe.
   -  When you’re crafting with little ones, keep an eye on the chunky glitter and sequins, since these may present a choking hazard.
   -  When making slime, be smart and protect your work surface with wax (or parchment) paper. You also may want to wear an apron (or other protective garment) to avoid slime-related accidents.

This shimmery blue slime is made from one batch of clear slime, so start out by finding your favorite clear glue slime recipe. Follow the recipe’s instructions for mixing up the slime, then add mix-ins according to our instructions below.

Step 2
Follow your recipe’s instructions to make a batch of clear slime. Because the glue’s already colored blue, you don’t need to add any food coloring to this slime.
Step 3
Flatten out your slime on a piece of wax (or palette) paper and sprinkle on some of the light blue fine glitter. Fold the slime’s edges in toward the center to blend the glitter into the slime.
Step 4
Repeat this technique to add a sprinkle of Princess Mix jumbo glitter. Do the same to add tiny white iridescent stars (top packet) and the large Silver stars (bottom packet) from your spangle pack. Continue folding and stretching until all the different kinds of glitter and stars are evenly distributed throughout the slime. Shiny!

TIP: If you plan to keep your slime for more than a few hours, be sure to store it in an airtight, sealable container (or a re-sealable plastic bag).
