AMAZING;
For ten dollars, man!!! Great quality and dries matte. Beautiful colors. This is really a good find man no wonder it's almost entirely out of stock. Cannot waaaiittttt to order soon ~! ;^)

Chalky, don't buy! For kids, NOT beginner artists
I didn't understand the reviews that said this is super chalky until I started painting. I'm learning to paint and felt unsuccessful - mine looked nothing like the tutorials. You can't get vibrant colors and dynamic blending. I mistakenly thought more colors was better (didn't know anything about mixing). These are better than the dry, washed-out 6-color kid pans, but not suitable for a beginner adult. They are "opaque," not "transparent" watercolors. See the difference in the photo of the "paint over Sharpie" test: left is W&N Cotman, right is this set :(

It works but chalkey
I was using the watercolor it was fine. But when it dried it was so chalky when I thuched my paper the colors was coming off of it

Great price for intense color
Very similar quality to pan watercolor sets costing two or three times as much. Lots of colors reducing the need to mix. I am enjoying these compared to having a few tubes of primary colors and mixing...my paintings have improved.

Great value for beginner set
These paints were a good choice. My young son wanted to learn how to paint but we did not want to get a cheap set, nor one that was more than he could use in the beginning. These paints are well made with good color, perfect for him as a starter set.

Chalky Opaque Finish
Generally, I prefer a more transparent watercolor for layering purposes, but these are not without their usefulness! For the price, you're getting a great range of colors that is nice, punchy, and opaque! While it hard to mix more subtle colors for more 'realistic" work, these are lovely for a more cartoony style and are great for beginners or someone wanting to experiment with techniques that require a higher opacity.

Great beginner set, or for travel
A great variety of colors, and the kid has bubbles so you can mix a LITTLE of any color needed that is not in the set. Needed an aqua, so mixed it from What was available. Variety of shades gives you the feeling you will have what you need to choose from. Good deep, quality cakes true to color you see. We've done four paintings so far and it is easy to see these will last well.
