I think they may be a little delicate for heavier handed artists, but they have actually performed better than some of the similarly priced sets I have purchased in the past. I have noticed minor hair loss, but it has been minimal for me.

I really like them for watercolor but i don't think they'll last long with acrylic paint (i can be kinda forceful with how i paint). This is a really great set especially for the price but the large filbert brush sheds a bit but not too bad. Again best for watercolor not oil or acrylic but i still love this set.
