Intermediate
You're somewhat experienced with the skills necessary to complete this project, but you haven't mastered all the elements, yet.
Step 1 |
Find the letter stencils to spell out your saying. TIP: You will have to spell one word at a time, or, in the cases where you have repeating letters, you will have to stencil the word in sections. |
Step 2 |
Cut the stencil apart and tape the letters together using the stencil tape to create each word. Cover any open areas you do not want paint to get to with tape. |
Step 3 |
Position the words on the plaque and tape down to secure. Tape around the words to protect the sign from getting paint in unwanted places. |
Step 4 |
Pour out some of the Arrowhead paint onto a paper plate (or palette paper). Dip the foam pouncer in the paint, then tap some of the paint off. Lightly dab the pouncer over the openings on the stencil. Repeat this until all of the words are stenciled onto the sign. Let dry. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
