Terrible
Bought the red. Have to use so much to get a true red, and then it makes everything taste so bitter! Never again!!

Red and black
Red and black do not produce red and black end results. You need a ton of colour to even come close. A trick is to let it sit over night to let the colour mature and it does darken or if for butter cream icing pop it in the microwave in 10 second allotments putting it back in the fridge do it doesn’t melt. Sorry but Wilton is not the way to go for rich colours. Lovely blues and greens though.

Colors turn out pretty and bold
I’ve been using this gel coloring for months now and have not had any issues, other than being able to find it in stock. The colors come out so pretty and there is no aftertaste.

Test in advance before you actually need it..
The burgundy color ended up meeting more like a bright mauve color. It was actually a really pretty color, but I really needed burgundy. The pink color turned hot pink with just a little bit. The purple is beautiful as is the green. It really is just hit or miss, so definitely try it out in advance and don't wait for the day you need the your treats as you might not get what you hoped for.

Perfect Color, no taste
If you need to use a lot, get the Wiltons, "no taste" colorant..We make a Red Velvet Cheesecake and use 1/2 oz. ( 1/2 jar) It is great, an no off taste...

Wrong Color
Burgundy came out hot pink (even after using 2 whole bottles). I had to add an entire container of yellow, half of black, and 3 of Christmas red to correct the color. You have to use a lot, which adds a nasty aftertaste and the colors are not all accurate! Having said that, the yellow worked out fine, so I guess it depends on the individual color you are using.

Great blood.
I’m all over the FX makeup scene! The thing is I’m operating on a budget so concentrated gel like this gets the job done! Feeling very bloody.

Just the purple I was looking for
This purple turned out perfect. I usually mix my own purple l, but it never turns out quite the way I want it. Glad I tried the Wilton violet!
