Winsor & Newton® Cotman® Watercolors Sketchers' Pocket Box is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Early Christmas gift to Self Recently jumped back into art in the last leg of 2018 in a few different mediums. One of them was watercolor, using my old student set of Artist Loft watercolors from when I was in high school. They were decent, but I wanted to get more serious about my watercolors and so with some help from r/watercolor on Reddit I made a choice I am quite happy with as a beginner to a magical medium with a 50% coupon not very long before Christmas. Have been using them since, and quiet happy with them. Looking to find new colors to add to my repertoire already!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small But Mighty! I have owned and used my Pocket Box since I was in art school in the early 90's. (I have refilled it many times obviously.) I purchased this one for a friend who is just starting in watercolors. This little box is perfect for painting on location, or while traveling. It fits easily inside your purse with a small sketchbook. It has a great selection of colors, But for me the cobalt and Ultramarine are very similar. I recommend replacing the cobalt blue with Cerulean. Keep it as an extra, it is a good basic blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just right Picked this up in store at the grand opening of the store in Seattle. Even though this says available on line only. I was traveling and the small size was perfect for having something on me with which to be creative. The colors are rich and deep, dissolve easily and are vibrant on the page. The brush is good quality. My only negative is now I am trying to get replacements for some of the colors and they were for sale individually in Seattle, and I cannot find them at all on line nor at my local Michaels. Back to Amazon???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this! Small enough to fit in my pocket, and with a water brush and a small sketch book I am set to go. So easy to use, and the pigment is fine for my sketch-as-I-go for my own pleasure style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best starter watercolor set I love this set. If you’re just starting out, pick these up and allow them introduce you to the difference between the cheap stuff and higher quality materials. These aren’t the finest paints on earth, but you’ll be able to tell the difference between painting with these and painting with a generic or school-grade paint. Also try these if you have not been successful with wet watercolors from tubes...you might be pleasantly surprised.
