Nice chalkboard, NOT MAGNETIC
I was looking forward to using this as part of a command center in my home, and had purchased a magnetic calendar to use with it. Unfortunately the magnetic calendar would not stick at all, and neither would any other magnets I tried. The magnetic calendar worked fine with other surfaces, just not this board. If you want something magnetic, this board isn't it. I have used chalkboard markers with it and they wiped off nicely. The board was easy to hang and came with the needed hardware.

Wonderfully constructed
very nicely built and the frame looks very nice! Make sure you season the board before using so you don't get any "ghosting" of what you erase. Very easy to do and a ton of videos on YouTube on that.

Much better than expected!
I actually purchased this chalkboard as a surface to do my 1000 piece puzzles on, and for that it's quite perfect! Although I didn't intend to use this as a chalkboard, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it actually is a pretty good quality, with a nice clean-edged frame, so I probably will be using it as a chalkboard as well.
