Das® Modeling Clay is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good at all I would not recommend this at all. I just bought some and the texture/consistency of this clay is horrid. The only word that comes close to describing the feeling of it is a gummy texture which makes it EXTREMELY hard to work with. It instantly cracks after opening, and even after adding water to it, it still has terrible consistency that cracks. It also smells really bad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but here's some tips I see many people complaint of the finish, it is understandable. But this is a very basic clay for very simple projects that not require much detail. Also this product needs to be constantly moist. Once it dries my advice is to use very fine sanding paper to smooth the surface and if it has cracks use gesso or spackling paste then sand again. Once its fully dry I recommend painting so the piece lasts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great air dry clay I was compelled to write a review after reading others that say the clay cracks while drying and that it dries quickly. This is true to an extent. If the clay is thin, then yes, it will dry quickly, but when it is thicker only the surface will dry within an hour or so. As to the cracking, I found it helpful to apply thin layers of water to keep it moist. This also works if you want to apply more layers to an already dried area - putting water helps band the dry clay to the wet. Overall, this clay is worth it if you want something that feels sturdy when dry. And considering the weight of the clay when wet, it dries surprising light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE IT!!! I have had a lot of fun with this clay.. and can not wait to get in to making more!! If it starts to dry out wet your hand and work in into to clay or wet the back of an object to put it on something that's already started drying.. I also use arteza clay tool to do detailing and other things

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Bought it, Opened it, It didnt even feel like clay, It felt hairy and stiff, You couldnt mold anything out of it and if you tried breaking it, id just snap. When you do break it the clay feels like your touching moldy hair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ripe off Worse clay every has little fibers that made it impossible to do fine details. Surface cracks when drying.when trying to sculpture fine details loose it's shape. Terrible product total waste of money. Wasn't cheap either

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to work with Loved it! Worked great, just took longer to dry than expected... I did keep damp to prevent cracking though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice but not quite what I expected I expected it to be more like actual clay. It seems to actually be a sort of paper clay. Still very nice(pieces made with it are very light and strong), and very inexpensive for how much is in the package.
