I am a Southerner at heart, but I grew up traveling. A lot. I've been in several countries outside the US. I spend a lot of time outside. I love the beach and the mountains. And I've always been an artist of some kind. Words. Wood. Painting. Drawing.
Outside of words, none of those other art forms appeal to me in the way that sculpting does. I can recreate the Twin Falls from Iceland, capture a sailboat on the bay, pay homage to the grand old live oaks of the south, and so much more with a lump of clay.
