I loved watching my maternal grandmother and great grandmother crochet. While they used thread that is not yet a forte.

While the grandmothers tried to teach me to crochet, their efforts failed. When in my early 20s, a boyfriend's sister in law described it in the same manner that Boy Scouts learn to tie knots. I've been hooked ever since (pardon the pun).

I love to crochet with cotton. But have used a number of different materials.
