Blade is fully hardend for excellent edge retention and has a very fine tapered face for clean cutting and a strong spine. Handle is a integral bolster with a full tang wood handle by defult, handle is pair shaped to easily maneuver in the hand for different typs of cuts. I have many different styles of blades and handle wood to choose between and will add more as I'm eather commissioned or think of different types. The spine is typically around 3/16" thick so if you prefer it to be thinner just send me a message once you order, there's no upcharge. I typically make these to order but will occasionally make an handful ahead of time if there's demand for a specific type I do make all of my kitchen ware and cutlery with food safety in mind, therefore I oil any wood with mineral oil and seal with cutting board wax for longevity and the blade itself is cleaned with alcohol ( I use Jameson whiskey for an Irish personality ) and is even slightly magnetic on the edge limiting the chance of physical contaminates (magnetism is a byproduct of hand forging and tempering process and is typically permanent). the blade Will also come with a complementary leather sheath for storage and shipping but will not have a belt loop, it is a kitchen knife after all.
