Each earring was made with an layered origami paper folded frame using 4 different Chiyogami Japaness paper, paired with 5 glass beads, dangled from a shepherds-hook with ball end ear-wire. The length of the earring from the top of the ear-wire to the bottom of the bead is 2.25″. The width of the origami is about 1.125″ Very lightweight. The origami fans were sealed with several coats of sealer and non-yellowing satin varnish to add durability and protect them from moisture. But they are not waterproof, so do not submerge the earrings in water, or wear them to go swimming or taking showers.
