Hand carved Clio muse pendant necklace in a rectangle shape available in gold bronze or solid sterling silver. In Greek mythology, Clio also spelled Kleio was the muse of history. She is often depicted holding a clarion in one hand and a scroll in the other. Clio was sometimes called the “Proclaimer”. Her symbols include the scroll, books, or tablets. She was considered the celebrator of history, of astonishing deeds and incredible accomplishments. She would proclaim them and recount the history of the heroes. The Greek muses were the patron goddesses of the arts of the realms of human spiritual activity, including poetry, art, and the sciences.
