The 9" round bowl was created using blue, green, yellow and clear stringers. The bottom layer backing the stringers is clear glass. After fusing the stringers to the clear glass, the fused stringers were cut into strips then assembled into an offset pattern on a clear circle base glass. The assembled piece was full fused to a temperature of 1480 degrees. After fusing, the glass was slumped using a form to create a bowl. All of my fused glass work is hand cut, assembled and fused by me in my home studio. I am an accountant by day but glass artist by night. I discovered a passion for fusing glass when I took my first class on glass fusing in 2010. I now have three kilns, several pieces of cold working equipment, and a full glass studio.
