"Anne" is a hand-carved linoleum block print inspired by the classic story, Anne of Green Gables, by L.M. Montgomery. The printed image measures 5x7 inches and the sheet of paper including borders measures 6x9 inches. This is a limited edition of 20, printed by hand using a mixed green block printing ink. Anne of Green Gables is a story that had a strong influence on my childhood, because my family took annual trips to Prince Edward Island, where the story took place. I'm a natural redhead, so my parents would braid my long hair and dress me in a sundress and straw hat, and all the other Anne-loving tourists took photos with me at the model Avonlea village. Anne was my fictional parallel when I was very young, and the aesthetics of the books, films and real PEI have strongly impacted my artistic vision today. The prints come signed, titled and editioned by hand and sealed in a clear plastic sleeve for protection.
