Our son started playing baseball when he was 5 or so. T-ball off a stand, then coach pitch, then player pitch (more like watching paint dry!), on to club and travel in middle school (which took over our lives every summer) and back to recreational for fun in High School, which meant double-headers every weekend. He's 21 now - those baseball years were a slog, but darn it feels like yesterday and I'd give just about anything to go back and have one more baseball weekend.
