This is a fine art print of my pastel painting, Between the Field and the Farm, a deeply personal painting. The yard depicted is my grandparents' a mile away from the house I grew up in. I spent countless days there as a young child, playing with my cousins. One of my cousins, two years younger than me, is the shadow depicted in this painting. Jake passed away at the age of 20 in a tragic freak accident. This painting helped me process my grief for the cousin I had grown apart from but known so well as children. It's representative of the way I can still wander these grounds, and they have changed but the memories of what once was are embedded in this earth. I produce my prints right in my home studio in Belmont, NH using a 6-color inkjet printer on matte fine art photography paper. Each is signed by hand on the back and sealed in a clear plastic sleeve with a rigid backing board for the best protection.
