"Big Kahuna 2" - a 20" x 24" acrylic art piece composed on a gallery level canvas (1'-1/2" deep frame). We don't all get to paddle out on a surfboard, slip on top of 20 foot wave and ride it into shore, but here's the next best thing! Big Kahuna 2 takes you out to where the 'big ones' are formed. The churning sea produces a vivid array of blue colors - from the dark blues of deep waters to the translucent spray of the wave's crest. The front and sides of the piece have been finished with epoxy resin that is embedded with subtle blue sparkles at the crest. The back is finished with framing paper and cable and comes complete with a picture hanging hook and embedded nail.
