The beads are added as the wire-wrapping is done to ensure they are firmly attached. The 18" cord is latex-free rubber with a very strong magnetic clasp. Aluminum does not tarnish so your pendant will always look great. (We do suggest you take it off before swimming in a chlorinated pool or sea water to preserve the luster of the tab).
