This wheel thrown piece is made of red Hawaiian Clay. Both sides are glazed with a blue glaze and the inside center is hand painted with about 10 different glazes. I take pictures of my pieces in various light conditions to show how light and sunlight brings the glazes to life. This piece can have a variety of purposes but because of the grainy texture of the clay and the middle glazing, it is not suitable to serve food in it. Each piece is individually designed and handmade so every piece is a one of a kind and unique. The piece you are purchasing is the exact same piece as in the pictures. Because of the nature of handmade pottery, slight imperfections are possible in each piece. The bottom of the piece is left unglazed.
