Real maple leaf pendant that has been copper electroformed with an added patina. Leaf has been coated with a thin layer of clear enamal paint to seal in the copper and to protect the patina. *Pendant includes a 24 inch mix metal chain. Color is a dark silver tone. *You will receive this exact copper leaf. CREATING PROCESS Handmade and created from a real leaf that I have found outside or from one of my plants. Each leaf goes through the process being dried, sealed with a clear coat, covered with conductive paint, and then electroformed; which is the process of copper plating organic or non metal material. Each leaf can take anywhere from 8-24 hours to fully copper plate so it is thick and strong enough to not be easily damaged. Once plated I'll refine the piece, giving it a finished look and may add a patina. Once completed I cover it with a thin layer of clear enamel paint to protect the patina and to stop further oxidation.
