Double Wedding Ring Quilted Table Runner by GloryQuilts
This classic quilt pattern makes a lovely table runner! The creamy background fabric is the perfect foil for the rich ice cream pastels and milk chocolate browns. The reverse side is a gorgeous Jacobean style print in brown, green, blue, cream and coral peach. Because I like to change things around often and use different table linens and wall hangings, all of my table runners have pretty reverse sides! I found a soft tan-on-tan print for the binding, cut on the bias for the flexibility to curve smoothly around the round edges and hand stitched it neatly and securely on the reverse side, and I used my favorite long staple Egyptian cotton thread in cream to quilt this runner with a free-motion meandering stipple pattern. For a beautifully draped runner, with just enough weight and loft, I used a low loft cotton batting. This gives it the feel of an antique quilt, and it lays flat on your table. All of the fabrics are prewashed to complete shrinkage and rid them of excess dye and chemicals. You can machine-wash and dry this quilt. I do all of my own sewing in my clean, pet-free, smoke-free home. Thank you for adding a GloryQuilts creation to your collection!
