I painted it using soft grays, warm browns, and gold tones, hopefully this piece captures the quiet grace of a classic trout fly. I discovered painting fishing flies not that long ago and I really enjoy discovering the endless variations and trying to make them into a beautiful painting. They can be really tiny so I get my magnifying glass and get to work. This particular fly is a Female Adams and is the third in my series.
