"Pining for Christmas" is a 10" x 8" art print based on one of my coloured pencil originals. It is mounted on a 3/8" wooden stretcher bar and is gallery-wrapped, meaning the image also bleeds onto the sides. This is the type of mounting used in high-end museums and galleries all around the world. This is part of a limited-edition print run and all prints are numbered and include the Certificate of Authenticity. It won the Exhibizone Winter Art Competition in Ontario, CA last December 2022. I originally painted this image for a challenge set forth by Colored Pencil Magazine using a supplied reference photo. I didn't win, I didn't even place, but to this day it's still one of my best sellers at art shows and one of my favourite pieces of hyperrealism, which is a genre I specialise in that means the painting is more realistic and in more detail than the actual photograph.
