Rustic Farmhouse Egg Holder is made from spruce, and has been hand cut, sanded and stained. This unique storage rack has a chicken wire design carved into both sides, reminiscent of the coop!!! Finished display rack has been stained dark and coated with polycrylic to protect the wood. All of the items we offer in our shop are handmade in USA. We custom design and build all of our products in our studio, located in the Western Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. As new Chicken parents, we soon realized that egg storage is an issue!! At which time my personal carpenter (husband) was tasked with the job of solving my egg storage problem. This egg holder is the perfect solution, small and compact, yet will hold 36 extra large eggs. Perfect for holding duck eggs or the smallest chicken or quail eggs. Each egg holder measures approximately 13.5 x 13.5 x 4 and will hold 3 dozen fresh eggs. Due to the nature of wood, no two pieces are ever alike, all our finishing is done by hand, therefore, the egg rack you receive may vary slightly from the one shown in the listing photo.
