The rainbow arch is made of six strips of 3mm colored transparent US-made Bullseye® glass topped with a 3mm layer of clear glass. The first kiln firing fuses the glass together at 1485 degrees Fahrenheit into a flat bar that is 6 mm thick. A second kiln firing at a 1200 degrees drapes the glass over a ceramic mold into the arch shape. Once cooled, the base is diamond-ground so that it sits squarely.
