Fused Glass Cross made from Hand Cut Glass in Blue, Green and White
This large cross was made with lots and lots of scrap glass! Each piece of white, blue, and green glass was hand cut and mixed with clear glass to allow the colors to flow. In the first firing, the glass was melted together. The edges were smoothed out by hand filing and then fired again to produce a smooth and shiny surface. The glass was properly annealed in my kiln to give it strength and durability. The cross measures approximately 7-3/4" wide x 11" tall and is about 1/2" thick. It comes with a wire fused into the back to allow for ease of hanging on a wall.
