This is a one-of-a-kind decorative and functional handmade ceramic lidded jar with an amazing finial top. It was wheel-thrown and glazed to provide modern decorative features that are sure to add interest wherever you place this beauty. I made this apothecary jar out of a beautiful porcelain clay and then layered my glazes to achieve this striking purple and blue coloring. Some slip trailed dots (a kind of liquid clay) were applied before glazing to give a bit of texture to the vase. This piece of collectible pottery works well as a stand alone piece in an office or living room, but can also be used to hold fresh or silk flowers. Just set the finial aside, which makes an interest art piece on its own. This jar measures 14" high to the top of the finial (8" without the lid) and is 5.5" across at the widest part of the shoulder. It has a 3" opening at the top.
